Midgets Need Not Apply

If there is one thing about me that seems to surprise people, it's that I'm a shortie. I stand at a whopping 4' 10 1/2". See? I don't even clear 5 feet tall. I'm close, though!

My height never bothered me. It still doesn't. If a fairy came down from the Heavens and told me she could make me taller, I would thank her, but refuse her offer. I enjoy being short. I make myself laugh when I try to get into my truck. I hide in things and under things and scare the bejeebers out of my husband and children.

But the sweetest thing about being short is these...



These are my most favorite shoes. Aren't they pretty and sexy?? Although you can't tell by the photo, they are covered in fine animal hair. I'm wearing them, obviously, with a pair of jeans today.

I'm a self-proclaimed shoe whore. The higher the heel, the better I like it. I have numerous pairs of shoes. I have so many that some are actually in storage and not in the house. Wait, that sounds pretty bad, doesn't it?

The main reason why I enjoy being so short is because I can wear shoes like these all the time, and voila, I am the same height as most people. I don't have to worry about towering over anyone. I don't have to worry about not being able to see eye to eye with my husband (except when I am wearing sneakers or am barefoot).

If I can't walk in them, they are still useful. There is nothing sexier than a pair of heels tangled in a set of sheets. Well, maybe if they were wrapped around a neck....

High heels instantly put my hubby in the "mood". I think I may have to surprise him with a new pair today. I wonder if I can find a pair of 6 inch stilettos....
